Meet the Elementary Teachers

Kathleen Sellers

Program Coordinator

Kathleen Sellers joined Princeton Montessori School in 1998, is a conference teacher, and currently the Program Coordinator for the Elementary program.

Kathy finds it amazing to guide and support the Upper and Lower Elementary children through all the stages of their personal and academic development. She is always learning from her energetic students and feels that every lesson is a conversation with the children.

Kathy seeks to achieve balance in her personal and professional life. She loves using her hands for sewing and quilting as well as creative cooking and also finds time for yoga, biking, and walking daily.

Kathy received a BA in English Literature from Rider University, NJ and holds an American Montessori Society credential in Elementary I and Elementary II through the Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE), NJ. She is also a PCTE instructor as well as the PCTE Elementary Level Coordinator.

Jennifer Christiano

Jennifer Christiano joined Princeton Montessori School in 2014 and is a conference teacher.

Jennifer is passionate about teaching and guiding LE students to reach their fullest potential while respecting each child’s individual personality.  She brings enthusiasm and energy to the classroom and enjoys being part of such a vibrant community.

When not teaching, Jennifer enjoys listening to classical music, reading historical works, visiting the beach, and aspires to travel around the world.

Jennifer earned a BS in Early Childhood Education & Psychology and Masters in the Art of Teaching from The College of New Jersey. She is certified by the state of New Jersey to teach Early Childhood (P-3), Elementary Education (K-5), and Students with Disabilities. Jennifer also holds an American Montessori Society credential in Elementary I through the Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE), NJ.

Katherine (Kate) Garzon

Intern

Kate Garzon joined Princeton Montessori School in 2017 as an intern.

Working as a teacher at Montessori Casa in Ontario for 15 years, Kate witnessed first-hand the difference that Montessori education makes in the lives of young children and their families. She is excited to expand her understanding of the second plane of development, and to learn how to foster joy, respect and purposeful learning within older students.

Kate enjoys cooking and baking, gardening, reading from a variety of genres, and spending quality time with family and friends. Health and fitness are also an important part of her routine.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from McMaster University, Canada, and a Masters of Education in Studies in Teaching and Learning, from Brock University, Canada. She is currently enrolled in the Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE) working towards an Elementary (6-12) credential. Kate is an intern in the Upper Elementary classroom.

Huma Kazmi

Huma Kazmi joined Princeton Montessori School in 2005 and is a conference teacher.

Huma enjoys working with the UE children because they have entered the plane of development where abstract thinking and analytical reasoning begins to unfold.  She brings her innate love of science and math to excite the students to explore their new capabilities.

Outside of school, Huma spends time with her husband and two children and looks forward to traveling home to London to visit her parents, brother, and friends. Huma enjoys reading, cooking, and catching a quiet moment to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Huma received a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of London, England, and holds an American Montessori Society credential in Elementary I and an Elementary II through the Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE), NJ.  She is also an instructor for PCTE.

Amy Krupa

Amy Krupa joined Princeton Montessori School in 2004 and is a teacher in the Lower Elementary program.

Amy loves working with children in a Montessori environment, especially at this age. She enjoys watching students take pride in their accomplishments as their innate love of learning develops.

When not teaching, Amy enjoys fitness coaching, boating, camping and being outdoors with her three sons. She is also passionate about her role as a Scouting Cub Master for the Boys Scouts of America organization. She volunteers as a leader that aims to promote character development, life skills, and citizenship training among the youth in the organization.

Amy received a BS in Business Administration from Rider University, NJ.  She holds an American Montessori Society credential in Elementary I through the Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE), NJ.

Sally Luke

Sally Luke joined Princeton Montessori School in 1990 and is a teacher in the Lower Elementary and After School programs.

Sally loves working with the LE students because of the unique perspective children have at this age, their humor and sense of wonder.

Sally considers herself an ‘amateur naturalist’ and is an avid birder, hiker, and traveler. She also enjoys volunteering as a reading tutor for Home Front.

Sally received a BA in History and English from Rutgers University, NJ and holds an American Montessori Society credential in Early Childhood and in Elementary I through the Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE), NJ.  She is certified by the State of New Jersey in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language.

Manley_LR

Bridget Manley

Bridget Manley joined Princeton Montessori School in 2005 and is a conference teacher.

Bridget loves working with Upper Elementary children and watching their academic and social awareness unfold. She brings her counseling skills to the “gifts & challenges” class and enjoys empowering students to problem solve issues independently.

Bridget enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family from the Midwest, keeping up with friends, exercising, and making her famous brownies for all. She can often be found chasing after her two young children or watching her husband play soccer on the weekends.

Bridget holds an MS in School Counseling from Sage Graduate School, NY and a BA in Social Work from Siena College, NY. She holds an American Montessori Society credential in Elementary I and Elementary II through the Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE), NJ. Her previous experience includes counseling middle school and high school students.

Stolzer_LR

Lisa Stolzer

Lisa Stolzer joined Princeton Montessori School in 1992 and is a conference teacher.

Lisa enjoys the energy and spirit the Lower Elementary students bring to the classroom. An avid writer, Lisa strives to help the students to find their own unique voices as they begin to read more fluently.  Her love of travel and world cultures is an asset in helping the students understand their own place in the world.

In her spare time, Lisa loves to cook, garden, kayak, make things, and go hiking with her husband.

Lisa received a BA/BS in Elementary Education and English from The College of New Jersey.  She has previous experience at the Toddler, Primary, Elementary, and Middle School levels.
