Princeton Montessori School is led by Michelle Morrison. Michelle is passionate about Montessori education and building collaborative communities. She joined the staff in 1990 and has been an elementary and middle school teacher as well as a program director. She also led parent education and staff development before assuming the headship in Fall of 2014. She is the current Head of Princeton Montessori School and Executive Director of Princeton Center for Teacher Education (PCTE).
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys the outdoors, bird watching, reading, and tennis. She has a son in college and two grown stepchildren. Michelle enjoys returning home to Colorado when she can for skiing and visiting with family. She is active in fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Over the years, Michelle has been featured in several American Montessori Society videos about Montessori education and has written articles for Montessori Life magazine. She has led many Princeton Montessori parent lectures and workshops both at Princeton Montessori School and at AMS Conferences. In addition, she has been a Montessori teacher training instructor at the Secondary I level.
Michelle holds four American Montessori Credentials: Elementary I, Elementary II, Secondary I, and Administrator. She earned a BS in Business Administration from University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts in Teaching from College of New Jersey.
